Not a one-size package
Why oil specification matters
Modern engine oil is chosen for more than viscosity. Manufacturer specifications exist to protect turbochargers, wet-belt lubrication and emissions systems like the DPF. Using the wrong oil can undermine the purpose of a service rather than support it, which is why we confirm the correct spec for your engine before booking rather than assuming a generic grade.
For a dated example only, a 2021 Ford Puma interim service was £155 with an MOT at £45. These figures reflect one vehicle at one point in time, not a current price list. Your quote is built for your car.

What's included in a car service?
It depends on the exact vehicle and service level. We state the included oil, filter and scheduled maintenance items in your quotation before booking.
What's the difference between an interim and a full service?
An interim service usually covers a more limited maintenance scope; a fuller manufacturer-schedule service may include additional filters, spark plugs, fluids and checks.
Will independent servicing affect my warranty?
Independent servicing can be carried out to the relevant schedule using suitable parts and fluids, but you should also check the precise wording of your warranty or finance-contract terms.
Can you reset the service light?
Where the vehicle and agreed service permit, yes, but a reset is not a substitute for carrying out the required maintenance.
Can you arrange my MOT?
We can discuss MOT preparation and arrange testing through an independent test centre. Autovolve is not itself presented as the MOT test station.
Will you repair everything you find during a service?
Not without your approval. We explain findings and priorities, then quote separately for anything outside the original service scope.
